Talentopoly - My Current Favorite Development and Design News Source

I have recently started using Talentopoly.com.

Social noise management tools have been around for a long time. I was an insane digg.com user, both in posting and diggs. But then they lost their "techno-geek" way, focusing on general news stories. The "Design" section often seemed completely abandoned, not having new promoted stories for weeks.

Then the things-I've-dugg interface "lost" all of my dugg articles. At that point, it lost all usefulness. Digg.com was my bookmarking tool.

Later I discovered DZone.com, and still go there often. I worked for them as a writer for several months until they restructured and abandoned their Drupal zone. Their UX and JavaScript sections already had writers, so I moved on.

My new obsession is Talentopoly.com. Its very similar to how digg started, and focuses mostly on all things design/development. Not a day goes by that I don't find a new story to read that I would have never found otherwise.

Using google reader and RSS feeds from dozens of different sources makes it very time consuming to parse the rhythm from the noise. Since I found Talentopoly, I've only opened google reader a couple of times -- long enough to remember why its a huge productivity boost to find new and interesting information from curated, filtered, and well-managed sources.

Thanks Talentopoly.
